Overview

Mark Pfaff designed a new site concept for Tawni Eakman Photography that offered a clean, modern design, focused on imagery and highlighting her strength as a photographer. Using my knowledge of Wordpress, Javascript as well as HTML, CSS, PHP, I was able to create a site that was responsive, user friendly, and optimized for speed.


About The Client

Tawni Eakman is an accomplished photographer who specializes in capturing the poignant moments in life whether it be engagement, wedding, maternity, or family portraits.


Specifications

She needed a website that let her work speak for itself. As she is constantly adding to her body of work she also needed a site that was easy to update and customize. With full-featured photo galleries, services and about pages powered by the Wordpress CMS this site provided her with everything she needed to showcase her growing portfolio.

Design

The main focus of the site is imagery so every page incorporates them from the homepage's sliding background images, to the portfolio galleries and about pages. Simple touches like the diamond incorporated into the menu hover effect highlight the brand without drawing away from the photos she wants to highlight.

Development

The site is fully responsive, incorporating mobile, tablet, and desktop sizes. Content pages include a gallery of portfolio work, blog, about page, and contact page. Of course all photos and text are easily to edit with Wordpress's built in content management dashboard.
